Shot taken in Claree Valley wich is a UNESCO site. This valley is located in the Cerces region in french Alps, north from Briancon.
This photo has been taken with a soft NG Grad filter, a polarising filter, and posttreated with a "soft" "exposure fusion" to enhance details in the shadows.

Hello Stephane.
A very appealing composition and lovely rendition of the light and colours, especially the soft reflection in the stream. The long exposure by tripod must account for the smooth and sharp quality here, and the aperture provides good DOF. It would be interesting to know more about the filtering - 'Lee Filter System' tells us nothing, really. Some might think this is an HDR shot, but it's probably the result of the filters. Anyway, it remains on the acceptable side as far as processing is concerned and deserves more recognition. Very nice work.

Le paysage est vraiment merveilleux et la perspective excellente avec les montagnes derrière. Une très bonne composition et j'aime beaucoup le corps d'arbre qui traverse la rivière. Une belle présentation, peut-être un peu foncée et la photo aurait pu être publiée à 800 pixels au lieur de 700. C'est juste une autre façon de voir.

There is a surrealistic atmosphere in this beautiful image, with the rugged peaks of the peaks standing sentinel against the setting sun. With exceptionally good depth-of-field, you've succeeded in keeping foreground and the background in focus.
