On the banks of the SORGUE river.

The SORGUE river has for spring a resurgence, the Fountain of Vaucluse, only point of exit of one karstic basin of 1083 km². It is the siphon which exceeds 300 meters deep. In its course of surface, 35 km, it is subdivided into two main arms, Sorgue de Velleron and Sorgue d'Entraigues which throw into Ouvèze river to Bédarrides, whereas the third arm throws into the Rhône after the crossing of Avignon. Fontaine de Vaucluse is the most important French spring, and the fifth world.
