Mountain village, is located in the Lacrouzette Sidobre.

"The French Sidobre is a mountainous area south of the Massif Central. This is a granite area 15km long and 7km at its widest point, covered with forests. Its highest point is at a place called" The Patau " (707 meters).

It is situated in the Tarn, in the Southwest tip of the Massif Central, between Lacrouzette, Ferrieres, Saint-Salvy-de-la-Balme and Lafontasse. It is surrounded by the following natural regions:

To the east by Lacaune
To the south by the Black Mountain
To the west by the Castres

Sidobre is formed of a granite hercynian resulting from intrusion recently dated by the strontium-rubidium method 304 ± 8 Ma, the beginning Stephanian. The magma pocket solidified and crystallized between 7.5 km and 20 km deep inside the Upper Cambrian metamorphic terrains that have eroded and left gradually flush the block.

Structure that would Sidobre a thick lens almond-shaped, and not a vertical diapir as was long believed.

The granite of the central part of the massif, granite said "Blue" is a slightly porphyritic granodiorite, while that of the periphery, grayer and more clear, is a monzogranite ... "From Wikipedia.
