Photographer's Note
Camon is a French commune, located in the department of Ariège in the newly constituted region of Occitanie. The town is a member of the association 'The Most Beautiful Villages of France'.
The village is built in the meander of the Hers-Vif. Tradition has it that it was Charlemagne who, in 778, founded a monastery on this small rocky eminence situated in a curve of the Hers. A fortified abbey was built later, given in 943 to the abbey of Lagrasse . In the twelfth century it became a simple priory.
The first walled enclosure was built at the same time, as well as the castle of Montaragou. On June 18, 1279 , the abbey with its fortifications was destroyed by the rupture of the Puivert dam, which also carried away Mirepoix and the other villages of the valley. In 1494, the village and its abbey are again ransacked, this time by a gang of looters.
It is Philippe de Lévis-Mirepoix, bishop of Mirepoix and prior of Camon, who will rebuild at the beginning of the 16th century all the buildings that we see today, including the village ramparts. Between 1560 and 1570, Cardinal Georges d'Armagnac, then prior of Camon, completes the enclosure by attaching a round tower.
The above was extracted and roughly translated from an article in French Wikipedia.

Bonjour, cher Stephen,

Hi Stephen,
The tight frame is putting the windows in evidence. The point of view is showimg the details of the windows and of the wall. The good luminosity is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Stephen, this shot looks like a watercolour painting, it must be the blue wash on the walls.
It is a simple uncomplicated picture that is pleasing to the eyes, certainly for me.
Thanks, regards Jean.

Bonjour Stephen,
C'est un petit peu beaucoup pourquoi on aime autant la France et ses petits villages. On y trouve toujours quelque chose d'intéressant à photographier. Comme ces fenêtres et les textures de ce mur.

Hello Stephen,
Wonderful photo of this old wall and the four windows, two of them with shutters. The ivy and the lamp are very well included on the left hand side. I really like the partly worn-off blue of the façade, it mixes very nicely with the grey stone.

Hi Stephen
A fabulous image and an excellent visualisation with pairs of repeated identical shapes render some very interesting graphics effect. Indeed an eye grabbing shot with superb detail and contrast along with lovely touch of green creepers as an extra value, Congrats.

Hi Stephen,
A very attractive symmetry and very attractive colours, like they are hand-painted in the picture. I see that this is right between Mirepoix and Quillan where we have been. This village looks equally interesting.
Kind regards

Hello Stephen,
One of my favorite themes: Windows (though I am a Mac use myself - couldn't help the pun). I love the dilapidated look.
