Photographer's Note

Since 1922, more than one thousand works, paintings lithographies, drawings, as well as all the posters realized by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec are kept(preserved) and exposed to the Museum of Albi which so became the biggest museum to the world of the work of Toulouse-Lautrec, was born in the city in 1864.
This collection of the very first importance was offered by the relatives of the painter, the count of the countess of Toulouse-Lautrec, advised by Maurice Joyant, the friend of the artist, and by the cousin of this last one, the Doctor Tapié de Céleyran. Besides this considerable collection the museum of present Albi of the collections of archaeology, former art and modern art.
