Detail of the pulpit of St. Cecilia Cathedral.

The pulpit of the Cathedral of Albi, carved in 1776, is located in the western part of the cathedral. Party in which one can also discover 10 beautiful side chapels.

At the end of the 17th century, a large campaign work began on the initiative of Bishop Charles Le goux the Berchère (1687-1703) with the drilling of the central part of the Last Judgment to allow the access to the lower room of the tower transformed into a chapel Saint Clair. A few years later, the bishop Pierre de la Croix de Castries (1719-1747) control between 1734 and 1736 the new organ and sends two Italian sculptors achieving new pulpit in marble and stucco as well as the renovation of the chapel axis ...
