By calm sea, “THERESINA” is coming to the harbour after one day of fishing, few seconds before sunset.

Sete is a French commune of the department of Herault and Languedoc-Roussillon area, populated of 43 400 Sétois and Sétoises distributed on 24 km², is 1792 hab/km². It is the town of artists like Paul Valéry, George Brassens, Manitas de Plata, Jean Vilar, the brothers Di Rosa.

It is the 1st fishing port of the French Mediterranean. Fishing setoise is made of artisanal flotillas, made up of family armaments. Fishing is day labourer (left the boats 3 hours, return towards 16-18 hours), during 220-230 days of fishing per annum, for an average tonnage of 8 000 to 10 000 tons (2/3 blue fish, 1/3 white fish). The setoise fleet includes:
- 34 general-purpose trawlers from 18 to 25 meters.
- 17 tuna boats senneurs from 25 to 45 meters.
- about thirty small boats practising traditional fishing.
- the production of oysters and moulds is mainly concentrated on banks of Pond of Thau.

Hello Joël,
A nice composition of this fishing boat returning with its catch judging by the circling seagulls. The boat is nicely positioned in the frame and the warm sunset tones are beautifully rendered. A very calming scene to contemplate on a dull day in Charente-Maritime.

What really makes this shot special and lifts it above lots of other sunsets is the flock of birds accompanying the fishing trawler home. The boat is well placed in the frame coming towards us. Very good shot

Una foto con un fuerte poder en la composición. Me gustan mucho las tonalidades rojizas del cielo, y el contraste que se forma con el mar y el yate.

The most interesting feature to find the flock of birds hovering above the boat, which you have nicely placed in this composition showing a superb sunset colorful sky. The ripples in the sea makes just a good contrast to the sky glow.

La lumière est super agréable et fait bien ressortir les douces couleurs du ciel qui contrastent bien avec le bleu de la mer. Le chalutier cerné de mouettes, que l'on voit de plus près dans le ws 2, a beaucoup d'allure!

El efecto de las gaviotas siguiendo al barco de pesca es muy bonito y dinámico.

Whoops! Etant une fan de thèmes, j'ai eu envie de voir ensemble, toutes tes photos de mouettes poursuiveuses de bâteaux de pêche à Sète!
Et ce n'est qu'après que j'ai lu dans ton intro qu'il faut avoir ta permission pour utiliser tes photos de quelque mode que ce soit!
Si tu me demandes d'effacer le thème, je le ferai tout de suite!
Quant à cette photo-ci, c'est un magnifique sujet pour un coucher de soleil bien réussi!
