Photographer's Note

I had to hand my little CANON and ISO 640 was a bit too much for him. I hesitated to make you discover this photo taken during a business trip.
In 1992, the former gypsum mine Portel-des-Corbières, dedicated to disaffection, closes its doors. This is the beginning of Terra Vinea project. Winemakers Rocbère the repurchase and decided to make a chai. A long journey along the 800 meters of galleries awaits visitors. In the depths of the cellar, the owners have restored villa of ancient Rome, where the history of wine and gastronomy of antiquity are honored. Then the machine to travel back in time makes a stop in the middle ages with a life-size reconstruction of the way of drinking wine and eating at the time. Then comes the second part of the visit: the call tradition. Plows, échaudeuses solfate ... several workshops are there to present the various manufacturing tools needed in viticulture. Before rising to the surface, the route visitors ends with a passage in the heart of a mine fifties. The owners have paid tribute to minors restoring a vintage mine. Finally, to end this adventure, the tour continues with a tasting of eight different wines.
