The water of Saint Clement, a photo from Languedoc-Roussillon, South

Photographer's Note

Beautiful unit that this aqueduct Saint Clement, length of 880 m and high of 22 m.
Its two stages of arcades are inspired by the Pont du Gard.
It transports spring water of Lez to the water Tower, itself connected to the three fountains of the city built at the same time: fountains of the Three Graces, Cybèle and the Unicorns.
One can follow it sometimes, whereas it is in its buried part, which constitutes a pleasant town walk in the shade of a pretty vegetation.
Seal in the foot of an arch one can see a stele recalling Jean Moulin and his very famous portrait taken to this place.

la perspective sur cet acqueduc est vraiment très interesante.J'aime beaucoup tous les détails que l'on voit sur la grande arche.La photo est d'une grande clarté.C'est très agréable à regarder.

Tu m'as devancé de peu et déposerai plus tard des photos du même aqueduc prises très récemment. Tu as réussi une belle vue d'ensemble large. Mon matériel ne me permet pas une telle prouesse. Tré bien réalisé. Bravo.

Une très belle perspective utilisée ici et qui permet une très belle composition. En plus, l'inclusion des 2 personnages au premier plan a le double intérêt de donner une échelle et de dynamiser la photo.

Tres belle et tres profonde cette perspective, et une vue ensoleillee et bien exposee, je vois qu'ils se sont donnes la peine d'en faire une oeuvre d'art ne realisant des gravures, du beau style !

Another wonderful presentation of an imposing and important structure, managed with your usual perfection, Jean Louis. You have made the best of the composition by the use of the diagonal, which works well. The high PoV is perfect. I would have liked to have known when it was built. Montpelier was a Roman town, but this look much later. I spent happy times in Montpelier and Sete in my youth, but I don't remember this structure. I must have missed a lot: too much sun and wine, I guess. regards kevin

Excellent POV and great depth;A good shot.I`m allways fascinated seeing these constructions and Here I like the repetition of the arches leading the eyes to the horizon.The couple in the foreground works well for the composition.

Magnifique point de vue sur notre bel aqueduc des Arceaux. Le point de vue plongeant depuis la Place du Peyrou est bien vu et ton cadrage carré te permet de proposer une image très dynamique jouant avec la belle perspective diagonale sur l'aqueduc.

Une perspective superbement réussie dont l'effet est augmente par la répétition des arches qui ont un fort impact graphique. Le PDV est bien choisi et nous permet d'avoir une vue sur différents niveaux.
Couleurs et netteté de qualité.

Hello Jean Louis,
It's an old photo but a good one. You have taken it from an angle where the aqueduct gives the photo a superb depth as it covers the space diagonally. The light is well handled and the persons, especially those closest to us, give us a further sense of dimensions, as well as making the view more vivid.
