Natural reserve of Scandola

High-place of Corsican nature, in the North-West of the gulf of Porto. The natural reserve of Scandola was delimited in 1976 on approximately 2.000 ha, half with ground and half at sea; the relief, which goes up to 560 m, is made very old, red and black rocks crystalline and volcanic; some (dyolites) have the basaltic shapes of organ, but with horizontal prisms. The relief is very cut out: in north the Black point (Neru) and points it Palazzu frame bay of Elbo; the islands Gargali and Garganellu prolong the course Palazzu in the extreme west; the handles of Solana and Gattaja follow towards the south, to the points Muchillina and Scandola, which mark the entry in the deep gulf of Girolata. Very protected, the reserve can be contemplated only in boat; excursions are organized from Porto.
Here, you can see an example of these splendid natural sculptures.

In WS, a grouped shooting of TE' ers.
