Photographer's Note

Penta-di-Casinca is a classified village in the South East of France, located in the department of Haute-Corse in the Corsican region.

The average altitude of Penta-di-Casinca is about 395 metres.

The village is built on the first heights that dominate the plain, more precisely, on a rocky spur. Moreover, the enormous rock on which the main part of the village rests was used as a quarry to provide the materials for the first constructions of Penta. The beauty and exception of its architecture earned it a classification by decree of 28 August 1973 and recognition as a "Picturesque site of the Corsican Department". Penta is the only village on the island to be classified.

What a great way to live in Corsica!
