Photographer's Note
You to speak about the mountain and hill farming in Corsica? The pic speaks about itself I think.
Centre of the island turns into a desert to the profit of the cities of the littoral. The breeding maintains there however a presence human. The farmers are helped in that by premiums, Community and national aids.
Not mountain pastures as on the Continent to make there feed fat dairy cows. Here not of production of cows milk but on the other hand, good production of milks of ovine and goat.
The local bovine die however developed after the crisis of the insane cow, obtaining even a quality control mark for its beef and veal.
The profession also became controlled. Soon the animals will not digress any more on our roads where they caused many accidents fatal. They are parked, marked with the ear, and very often nourished by the man because fodders are missing. Also, slaughters are done now in approved slaughter-houses.
Photo catches in the GIUSSANI, micro region dominating Balagne.
Hoping that you will like it.

hi pierre, must have been an extremely hot morning that day; it can be seen as the whole scenery looks so "lazy"; well executed showing us a pleasent, quiet place; nice photo

A most charming countryside shot, Pierre. Very interesting to see the old edifice embedded into this idyllic setting, and the resting cows sure make a nice foreground interest (I wish the lowest one were not cropped). Good DOF all the way back to the mountain range. Very nice shot.

Tout cela, c'est aussi les directives européennes qui l'imposent. Enfin, c'est une excellente photo, très bien cadrée avec encore un de ces merveilleux payages corses. Bien vu!
