The archeological site of Canonica., a photo from Corse, South

Photographer's Note

In the Bastian plain which extends to the south from the pond from Biguglia, to approximately 3 km upstream of the mouth of Golo, the church-cathedral of Mariana draws up its elegant silhouette almost in full field. This Romance church, locally called Canonica, allured by the purity of its volumes and the harmony of its natural polychromies. Canonica comes from canonicus meaning "canon" En effect, the excavations undertaken around the cathedral made it possible to locate the site of a medieval residence which sheltered the bishop and of the canons. This splendid church was a plusior time and in very beautiful way development by certain of our friends (wink with my dear friends Harold and George). Me I thus will be satisfied to make you discover this very beautiful site of archaeological excavations, located at his surrounding. Friendship at all of you.

Interesting subject. A lot of detail, with the foundations iun the foreground. Maybe the sunilt part of the building is a touch OE.

Archaeology attracts me, Martine, so this one is also for me...; it must be exciting to discover places like this one, and to imagine how was the life of the people who lived there...

Les lieux historiques anciens sont souvent composés de plusieurs couches de vie passée
Cela semble est le cas ici .
Nous anciens connaissait les bons lieux pour construire et rebatissaient dessus avec le temps
Maintenant on fait des POS à PAS variable ( et de PER aussi Ke-ZaKo ?:-)) ) ..et l'on a quelque fois des surprises quand la nature prend ces colères
Les lieux anciens eux resistent car mieux situés d'EXPERIENCE !

A good presentation of this interesting archaeological site, Martine. It comes in great colors and light, and composition-wise I like how the view is glancing above the excavations, and towards the old church. I also like that huge tree at the right - and I think you included just the right amount of it for framing purposes, including the whole tree would have dwarfed the rest of the scene. Well captured.

prise de vue interessante architecturale...je trouve une légère surex sur les pierres pas facile de contre carré...le cadrage est bien étudié...les vestiges sont d'un plus bel effet...on le voit qu'il y a eu une vie antérieure...merci pour le partage ...toujours très intéressante tes photos ma-tibou...amitiés BI

Très jolie prise de vue large de cette superbe église ou l’ont distingue très bien les fouilles. juste une surexposition de l édifice vraiment pas grand chose bravo ma puce grosse bisoutte

Le cadrage et la lumière mettent bien en valeur les fouilles archéologiques.
Si l'on était très pointilleux on dirait que l'avant de l'église est légèrement surexposé.
Comme le fait remarquer PixelTerror, l'absence de clocher est surprenant ... et laisse un vide dans le paysage.

Belle présentation générale du site de fouilles avec l'église. Sans celle-ci en arrière-plan, la photo aurais gardé sont intérêt pédagogique, mais perdu son aspect de composition. La note est intéressante. Bien vu, Martine.

Excellent composition, great light and colour in picture. The constution of this building we do have in Denmark to. I have seen that on the biggest village Chuch here "Vestervig chuch".

Layers of history! Really nice. Good point of view letting us move up through time to the church. The trees between offer a nice contrast to the man made lines of the remains. And has a new life sprouting from the past. It's great colors. The contrast is low, though, I think. It seems a bit flat to me. Great capture of the lines, though. IT really moves me right through this image.
