Photographer's Note

Two previous images of Borgo had been published in February 2006:
- The first image was the presentation of this village in my topic on the Villages of Corsica 1,
- It was followed of a panoramic image with a note which brushed the past of this high historical place of CORSICA.

Today, I present a new view, this time in light low-angle shot. The photo one was taken under collar-of-Campo (451 m - Commune of Vignale) since the D7, a road narrow and sinuous with wish that I borrowed for my any last drive photo in the Alto di Casacconi. You could have ever seen it an image with the parish church San Mamilianu of Scolca.

Enjoying ideal visibility, my POV makes it possible to discover several levels of interest that I describe you:
- the village itself with the Annonciade Church and its high restored bell-tower (object of polemic among local residents),
- the Biguglia Pond whose pink flamingos and black cormorants were very recently presented by Marie (image by Nolme),
- the Lido (offshore bar) of Marana who separates the pond with Tyrrhenian Sea,
- Elba Island on the horizon,
- Finally, the plane of the CCM (Corsica Company the Mediterranean) have just taken off of Saint-Exupéry, the airport of Borgo from where on July 31, 1944 the commander Antoine de Saint-Exupéry will fly away, not to return more.
