Here you can see the same cliff visible in my first photo of Bonifacio:
Impregnable Bonifacio
It’s one of the first sight one can see when approaching the citadel from the harbour, after climbing the stiff uphill “Monte Rastello” way. One wonder how could they build such high houses just on the brim on the cliff…

I was eager to capture this photo because I had already taken it in 2004 with my previous cheap compact camera and it was one of the first photos I had posted here in Te in 2008. But due to the limitations of the camera the quality was not good. So I’m proposing this new version, taken from a slightly different POV and with a different focal length. If you are curious to compare the two versions you can find it:

I had expected to find Bonifacio changed after so many years but apart from one or two buildings most of the houses were still in need of a good restoration. Only the marina, all along the harbour, had a complete restyling.
