Photographer's Note

Just few minutes after I shot the photo of Bonifacio perched on the cliff (see: Impregnable Bonifacio)
the ferry approached the same cliff and entered into the long and narrow fjord carved in the limestone rock at the end of which lies the harbour of Bonifacio. In this photo you can see the lighthouse which marks the left end of this entrance. At the same time a boat bringing the tourists for a tour of the coast went out of the fjord passing along our ferry.
