Photographer's Note

The Trocadéro, site of the Palais de Chaillot, is in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, on what used to be the hill of Chaillot, a former village. The new Palais de Chaillot was built for the 1937 World Expo by architects Louis-Hippolyte Boileau, Jacques Carlu and Léon Azéma in the then fashionable "Style Moderne". It is here that the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on December 10, 1948. Today it houses a number of museums and galleries.
This picture tries to capture the atmosphere on a misty morning because, although it was already 9:30 AM, no other tourists where there yet.
