Photographer's Note

On the steps of La Grande Arche, Le Defense district of Paris.
I couldn't decide between two shots. In the end I chose this one as it includes the person in the bottom left corner because of the wistfulness implied by his glance across to the courting couple. I am proud to say that this was not simply a happy accident and that I saw the man from the left coming into view and looking the way of the sweethearts and managed to catch him.
I have added the other shot as a workshop. I would be interested to know which you prefer.

Sweet timming too, Bev.I the coloured version He seems to be enjoying while in B&W she seems to be astinished and may be asking for more........

Hi Bev. Liked both - the original and the WS. But it seems that what is in WS was taken seconds earlier than the other one. The inclusion of the curious onlooker is well considered. May be not a local. Good work. TFS. Regards.

Hello Bev,

it's great to see you out and about with your new camera. These are the type of images I like but have none of my one, perhaps when I move to France I'll be able to collect some. This is a fine shot with the man on the left probably envious of the man on the right. I think they're all well placed in the frame and your timing is spot on and well seen. I think you should post the WS too, the pigeon is a star! A fine capture Bev, and if it's not too patronising, you've come on leaps and bounds, well done.
