After the Dragon and the Costums, I thought that another typical element of the Chinese New year is the Dance. So, I set up a new serie which displays the “Dance of the Hat”.

Well, I’m not sure about the name but that something I have already seen before this year so I guess this is a typical Chinese dance. Maybe someone will confirm…

Just as a reminder after the two previous postings, this is an extract from what people could see along the “Champs Elysées” in Paris last Saturday in the frame of the Chinese New Year. Exceptionally, it took place on the “Champs Elysées” because 2004 is a special year in France dedicated to China. The avenue was exceptionally crowded that afternoon in spite of the cold weather.

Among the 6 or 7 shots of the dance I was able to take above my head, I selected these ones. They are far from being perfect because of the low light and the lack of steady standing but they were interesting for illustrating few steps of this dance. I increased saturation colors with colors curves then ran them through Neatimage. I hope you like…
