This picture is the second one of the serie about the Chinese New Year in Paris in the frame of the Year of China in France.

Apart from Dragons, there were a lot of magnificient costumes to look at.

Taken with low light too, I had to use a narrow DOF which made the focus even more difficult at such a long distance, the camera above my head...

I increased the saturation a little bit and ran the picture through Neatimage.

Beautiful colors. The dark background works well to bring to focus the colors of the participants. Thanks for sharing this to us.

Je ne savais pas que l'on fêtait le nouvel an chinois à Paris mais bon, il est vrai qu'il existe un quartier chinois et cela paraît évident. En tout cas, cela fera certainement plaisir à la copine de mon frère qui arrive de Taiwan début février.
En ce qui conerne la photo, je trouve bien de la présenter sur TE et j'ai tenté un atelier pour essayer de mieux mettre en valeur le défilé. J'espère que vous aimerez.

La parade suit son cours avec tout ces merveilleux costumes aux couleurs vives. Félicitations au photographe qui a réussi cette composition malgré les conditions difficiles.

It is intresting to see that teh Chinese New Year is celebrated in Paris. I would not have thought so. Thansk for sharing it with us. i really like the vivid colours and the movment in teh photo. Only wish that the flag did not covere the man so completely.
