Photographer's Note
It does not snow every year in Paris, but last year, we had this beautiful snowing day.
The snow was not watery as often here, but was all puffy. Suddenly, there were people with cameras everywhere trying to catch this rare moment in the city.
I was lucky my roomate used the balcony as a bicyle garage, as I like the snow falling on it.

Very nice Laurent! Good way of capturing the city in winter. Like the angle you chose and the B&W.

Very nice Laurent! There are many dynamics in this picture: the snow in the wind... the somehow weird bicycle... the vertigo feeling created by the void just next to us, and still balanced by the restaurants you put in the frame... even the "empty" wall has its "special thing" with the snowy heater tube - although I am not convinced wether you should not just have cropped it out??
Another remark - interrogation is that your picture is not straight. Maybe it's just as good like that, maybe it should have been rotated a few degrees conter-clockwise.
But anyway very atmospheric photo...

You are right. The effect of the snow on the bicycle is really interesting. I like the ambiance and it recalls me very well last winter's snowfall in Paris.
The choice of BW is really appropriate here and the angle you chose is really nice with this perspective effect.
I guess, you could solve the slight tilted effect quite easily. You could also strengthen the contrast and the white balance so as to preserve a white tone to the snow.
Nice romantic shot of Paris !

The old building in a grey city softened by the snow with the bike, a found picture I'm sure, but very enjoyable. I would have burned in the roofs so as not to distract and also to better balance your tonal range. Bill

Many atmosphere in this photo, it is very well made a success. Bravo. I like very much.
It is really high, I also hope that there is an elevator to take up the bicycle above.

hi Laurent,
this is an amazing picture. A breathtaking one at that.
The B&W effect is magnificient. Also the iron railing seems to look magical with the BW effect.
It is a perfect shot.
Btw I am new to TE and enjoying myself.:)
What if the background behind the railing would have been a little more blurred.
Anyway this is a postcard shot.

The black and white suits this image very well and adds to its originality. Winter in Paris. The image is composed well and provides a sense of depth. Beautiful and original shot.

Very nice picture here, I also love snow. The picture captures the distancing of the other buildings opposite the balcony. well done.
The only thing that I would get rid of is the drain on the right.
