Photographer's Note

Bending over.
Getting closer.
As far as possible.
On one hand, a protected statue of the goddess of the sea, Amphitrite, soon to be restored and cleaned up. On the other hand, a massive installation of contemporary art imposing itself in the middle of the Courbet room in Orsay museum, between the Painter's studio (subtitled a real allegory summarizing my seven years of life as an artist) and the Origin of the world.
Trying to grasp some details behind the yellowish plastic tarpaulin or wishing to puzzle out some profound hidden meaning behind the garish colors, kitch icons, everyday items, bits and pieces spread (haphazardly?) on this theatrical stage... and even our own image, captured live by a video camera.
Down to Earth restraints, concepctual questions...
Or could it also be the other way around?

Curiosity and desire to learn (to understand, too) guide us all. At least, they should... ;-)

Lens distorsion correction, very slight crop
