Photographer's Note

Pétanque comes from the traditional game of bowls. In the beginning of the 20th century, in a small city of the southern part of France : a group of friends wanted their physically handiccaped friend to play with them so they invented pétanque, that means "feet on the soil".

This picture had been taken during autumn, when the Tuileries gardens become kind of yellow-to-red mosaic of colours. The picture had been worked on : i used the painting tool to bring the players out.
