Impression Of The Louvre At Dusk, a photo from Ile-de-France, North

Photographer's Note

This is the last of the three part series of The Impressions Of The Louvre.
Dusk was falling rapidly. I can no longer take photographs with my camera hand held in my cold hands. It is not only getting very dark but people are leaving the square hastily. I am shivering in the cold after having stood there for some time. This old lense that I like works best under the lighting condition like now. So I continue stand at the same spot and try to take some more photos, but there is any longer enough light left for me to expose more images. In fact this was the very last photo, which tuned out usable.

Taken during blue hour with a nice result.
Sharpness and clarity be superb.

The muted tones & the blue hour sky works well. I like the slight light illuminating the ornate wall on the right. The artificial lights are not distracting...the whole mood depicted in the picture is of mystery & cold. Nice quality of scan!

Lovely composition the lights add mystery and romance to this photo. With darkness approaching it makes The Louvre stand out and look very alive....you could almost step into this photo.
