Photographer's Note

This photo was taken with a lens that I found very inexpensively in one of the many camera shops in Tokyo. According to the serial number I know now that it was produced in Japan. At the aperture fully open the image is somewhat blurry, but as one closes the aperture the sharpness increases dramatically. The reason is not very clear but I like the quality of the image it creates. So I use it occasionally. This photo was taken on the same day as the previous picture was taken in B&W. As you can see the soft focus effect of the image, and if you look closely, one could find all sorts of aberrations. But I accept all that for the characteristics of this particular lens. Combining high-density color films and this lens is an interesting way to enjoy photography.
