Photographer's Note
For the chunk of the twenty-four days I spent on my first trip to Paris (I have been back three times and will return in November of 2009), I stayed with a friend in an apartment above the Monoprix (at right in the photo). Place Blanche is at the western edge of the "Red District" in Paris, where sex shops of all kind abound, and is the home of the Moulin Rouge.
Most mornings, I would get a crêpe from the stand on the corner of boulevard de Clichy (the street in the foreground) and rue Lepic (to the right of the giant Coke sign) and get a couple of cups of coffee (because the cups are fairly small and because I couldn't remember whether it was "une" or "un" café!) at the Quick.
Rue Lepic leads up to Montmartre, one of my more favourite sections in all of Paris.
This is, of course, a hand-held panorama of several frames, hence the uneven borders.

Hello Patrick,
Cyrille
