You are right, the light is beautiful; it gilds the patterned fence and creates wonderful light/shadow contrasts across the scene.
A very well judged composition gives attention to all the features; the fence, the tall reeds,the reflections and the white buildings, high on the hill, under a cloud splattered sky.

J'apprécie les reflets sur l'eau. La largeur de l'étang donne de la profondeur à la composition. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails des reflets, de la clôture et des roseaux. La bonne luminosité rehausse les couleurs de l'image. Bonne et Heureuse Année 2017, des voeux de paix, de santé et de prospérité.

Hello Gildas,
It is surprising to find such a fence here, but it is a beautiful handicraft and it goes very well with the tall reeds. The winter light is nicely captured with fine reflections.

Serait-ce le Montreuil d'autrefois !En tout cas, il est plaisant de voir qu'il existe encore des lieux où l'on peut profiter d'un peu de campagne.

Interesting this fence, it looks quite new made and I do not see the reason of its presence. But it looks fine. Lovely high grasses, beautiful light.

I really like the contrast between the warm colours of the sunlit fence and the darker and shaded water. The light makes the contrast so much stronger. The cloudy sky makes a fine background too.

An unusual but nevertheless very attractive scene from the outskirts of the town. We can see the buildings at the distance but the lonely person on the hill steals the show.

I like this photo because of its simplicity. Honestly its just a fence :)

but look at its beauty, look at how the light is striking it, look at the colour contrasts between it and the water. beautifully simple. and the tall brown grass in the bg is equally attractive too. excellent set up and execution.

bella composizione, il cielo ha una parte fondamentale in tutto questo, anche nel riflesso.
Interessante la palizzata in primo piano, colpisce subito l'attenzione, ma la bellezza è tutta nel paesaggio.
