Photographer's Note

The current fountain is a reproduction of that built in 1520 per Nicolas Delabrosse, project superintendent of masonry of Mantes.
The original one, always preserved, is the only known fountain of the Rebirth which is with two basins.
The first, round two meters in diameter, presents four figures of men pouring of water in the lower part and the second, finely carved, is supported by a baluster with the marked curve.
This fountain is classified historic building since 1862.
