Photographer's Note

Le bassin des cascades a été réalisé par André le nôtre en 1664. En 1864, il est agrémenté d'un ensemble sculptural.
Le château de Fontainebleau offre le souvenir de plus de 700 ans de présence des souverains de France, de l’intronisation de Louis VII en 1137 à la chute du Second Empire en 1870.

The statues are nicely reflected in the green water, but even more I like the wall and the patterns of the stones.

An interesting try for a reflection picture, Philippe, besides the beautiful statue at this pond.
I can guess, that at the right time and angle of the sun - there would be a fantastic reflection on the green water.

Si il y a un endroit que je n'ai pas regretté de visiter c'est bien ce château. Une petite merveille à l'intérieur comme à l'extérieur. Beau cadrage mettant le vert de l'eau en vedette.

We can only appreciate our constantly changing environment if we are also careful with our past. This special photo with the light green reflection of two female figures sculpted in white marble gives a wonderful example of this.

Bonjour Philippe,
very attractive composition, the sky was very bright but with the focus on the fragment here you could get more details on the wonderful area which was covered with shade.
I like the green color of the water in the foreground, it constitutes a nice layer of the composition.
The garden is very elegant and you have well captured here,
