Photographer's Note

Étretat is best known for its cliffs, including a famous natural arch. These cliffs attracted artists including Eugène Boudin, Gustave Courbet and Claude Monet.

We like the contrast of colours in Etretat with his greens, whites en blues. We tryd to catch it on this photo.

Hi Kik,
The blue sea and the white sands work very good together here. The composition with the beach curving towards the rock is also fine. The church on the top adds an extre detail.

Classic, as you notice, but however very well done. Colors and sharpness are great, and the curve of the pebbly beach is well captured.
And you are so lucky with the bird ;o)

Kik,
Your composition is great using the shore line to lead the eye through the photo. The church on the hill add a nice point of interest to the shot. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and DOF.

Hi Kik,
I know very well Etretat where I did my first shoot 20 years ago :-) !
Not so easy to catch the contrast blue, green and white. Here all the color are perfect, the curve of the beach is superb to give perespective till the little arch, many details and very sharp, an excellent shot without too much tourist, well done !

I know this beautiful seaside resort and I recognize that this photograph develops the place. The panorama is splendid and profits from an excellent light. The natural colors are superb. Hallo Kik,

Je had in ieder geval daar beter weer, dan
wat ik twee jaar geleden had.

Je hebt hier een mooie standpunt gekozen,
zodat de foto (deze met de goede verdeling)
zeer overzichtelijk en rustig overkomt en
ook veel diepte in zicht heeft.

Ook is de foto goed belicht en goed scherp.
