Tram of Saarbahn at the station of Sarreguemines.

Saarbahn operates modern tram line in the region of Saarbrücken. In the city the rail run like traditional tram lines on city streets. Further away these tramtrains use traditional railway lines to reach Sarreguemines across the French border. The line opened in 1997. Trams wewe built by Bombardier and their top speed is 100 km/h on railway tracks.

That's really fascinating Kari, I'm aware of a lot of supertram systems like this, but I've never heard of one crossing borders before. Nice post in the TE spirit.

NIce framing Kari! Nice colors too. I took this tram a couple of years ago when I was visiting Saarbrücken with my boat. Vrey confortable.

Hi Kari,

A great train shot. Very good POV and composition. I like that you have the whole train within the frame and that you have included part of the station. Your three last photos are also a nice series of train shots from different countries. TFS and have a nice week-end!

Its very interesting information. I never heard that the tram train on the railway track.
