Strasbourg in the Evening

I started my Strasbourg series several weeks ago with a photo of the Pont du Corbeau (Raven Bridge). The last photo from Strasbourg (at least for now) shows the same bridge, but now in the evening. Apart from the bridge, it also features the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Strasbourg.

Interesantan pogled i trenutak, dobar tekst ...
Lep most sa cvecem i arhitektura, dobro pokazano sa lepim bojama, kontrastom, perspektivom i uhvacenim trenutkom.

Himlen blir vacker av de lätta molnen, men det är framför allt belysningen av husen och bron som skapar en fin stämning i den vackra stadsmiljön. Kyrktornet är fint placerat och drar till sig blickarna trots att det är i bakgrunden.

First rate clarity; a good blue hour shot of the old town by the river with rich colour, detail and lovely mixed of natural and artificial lighting. Small area of vivid red and reflections add further sensation. Excellent low light capture

Hi Lars,

A fantastic blue hour photo of this lovely old bridge and buildings around it. Strasbourg looks like a great town to visit. The cathedral tower in the background makes a good focal point in the composition. Great sharpness and light control.

Goedemiddag Lars,

De brug en een deel van stad tijdens het blauw uur.
Het resultaat mag er zeker zijn.
Het licht wat altijd wat donker is, heeft u hier mooi opgelost.
Het gabarit van de de gebouwen zijn zeer duidelijk, maar de brug is zeker een blikvanger.
Goed foto werk, bedankt.

With the change in light intensity comes a change in mood; calmer, more tranquil but still enormously attractive.
You have done well to get such a fine, sharp photograph, without a tripod. Did you use a wall for support?

Hallo Lars,
De verlichting van de brug en het huis, de witte gevels, de rode bloemen en de lichte en donkerder gedeelten van de blauwe lucht zorgen voor een mooie kleurencombinatie.
Je koos een geschikte plek om de toren en de huizen mooi naast elkaar te tonen.
De straatverlichting zorgt voor enkele lange weerspiegelingen in het water.
Heel goed gedaan!

I now have the prefect location to exit Germany and enter France (Strasburg) on my way to Belgium, should I ever get back to Europe. A moody and atmospheric early blue hour shot with good colour and sharpness. Tfs!

It's nice to see another photo from this spot, but now at dusk. It looks quieter, and the color of the sky is beginning to turn that lovely "blue hour" shade that's great for photos. The flowers on the bridge are pretty, too. Take care!

Hi Lars,
wow this is very impressive. Indeed I usually refer to blue hour when a place is not too interesting because blue hour makes things more charming, but this place is so colorful that pictures taken by day are picturesque enough. Nevertheless evening time adds one more level of picturesque-ness.
