Photographer's Note

Along the Ill

Strasbourg is located near the Rhine, but the river ILL (I write it in capitals to show the spelling more clearly) is even more important to the city. Together with a former arm of the river, today the Canal du Faux-Rempart it creates the Grande Île (Large Islands), where the historic city centre lies. This photo shows some of the buildings along the river and was taken from the Pont du Corbeau, which I showed in my previous photo.
