Tourists making their way toward Strasbourg Cathedral, one of the focal points of the city..

Strasbourg is the capital and largest city of the Grand Est region of France and is the official seat of the European Parliament. Located close to the border with Germany, it is the capital of the Bas-Rhin département. In 2013, the city proper had 275,718 inhabitants, the Eurométropole de Strasbourg (Greater Strasbourg) had 475,934 inhabitants, the Arrondissement of Strasbourg had 482,384 inhabitants and Strasbourg's metropolitan area had a population of 773,347 (not counting the section across the border in Germany), making it the ninth largest metropolitan area in France and home to 13% of the Grand Est region's inhabitants. The transnational Eurodistrict Strasbourg-Ortenau had a population of 915,000 inhabitants in 2014.

oh man, you'll never find buildings like this here in Canada!
This is why I want to travel so much, to see different towns and cities like this.

excellent post because usually we see the water/canal shots from this city, not the inner street shots.
awesome post, lots to keep our eyes busy.

Hello Stephen, This looks like a beautiful place. I was through there in 1951, but too long ago to remember the city. This has wonderful colors and of course the pedestrians add to the picture very much. The buildings are very attractive with the external woodwork on some of the exteriors. I note in the far left there appears to be part of a church, should I assume this is part of the famous church. Well done. Very nice presentation. Regards, Roger

Some of these buildings are absolutely fantastic and the people make the entire view very pleasant. Green and pink trousers and red shirts definitely brighten the view.
