Photographer's Note

After a rainy visit to the medieval château de Couches in Burgundy, on our way home towards Beaune trough some backwater local routes we came across this charming roman church in midst of some vineyards. It serves as the perfect epitome to the thousands of years old relationship of the church with wine and winemaking.
Don't ask me the name of the church or even the village it was standing, it was thus of the beaten path that I couldn't even retrace the road we where on.
