I Made a theme of these roundabout shots.

There's only a couple of days in midwinter when it's possible to see the full moon rising in this place. And seeing it through a thin layer of clouds requires luck.

Brightened up clouds a little. Made some retouch on the moon because there were window reflections. Underexposed one stop.

Good job Kari! I think the only way to get the moon right is to shoot two pictures, one with the right shutter spped for the moon and the other one for the subject you want to shoot, then compose them. I don't know if there is any other way because if you use a long exposure for the subject the moon moves :(, anyways, this one's nice, you did a good postprocessing job. Tali

You certainly captured the moon through the clouds at an opportune moment. Interesting effect from the light trails and the snow gives a different look to the night scene.

Hi Kari, well, I know this roundabout ;) It's a very nice night shot, to me the highlight is the halo around the moon, and those clouds within it, illuminated nicely by moonlight. And I like your photos from the apartment (is this from the kitchen too?), thanks a lot, Daniel

My last post is also from my window and featuring the moon. What are the chances?
I love here the combination of the city lights with the natural light, car tracks and the ever present snow environment.

Hi Kari,
Your 5 photos are all interesting. I prefer this one for its composition, with the orange between the white electric lights and the white light of the moon. But it would have been intersting to have an exposure of 1 second, like "snowy roundabout", for the nice car lights.
