Photographer's Note
Finland is probably northernmost place where apples grow. Apple trees are popular on gardens, but commercial orchards are rare. It's only possible to find domestic apples on shops and markets for a few autumn weeks.

Indeed you live in a land that is very cold, looking at the date of your image I've a bit of disorientation, flower of apple so late? Nature is really strange and fascinating... By the way this is a very good macro, well done and with excellent quality, compliments, kari, even if so late I think that is always a pleasure to have a look at that flowers.

The pink and white of apple blossom is so attractive. Well taken macro, although you might have just missed the appropriate focal point as the top flower and the leaf are pin sharp and the bottom flower is slightly out. Macros are incredibly difficult to get right. I'm still trying.

Hello Kari,
Nice picture of apple flowers. I also practiced photos of those flowers in the garden of my parents. I find it is really a beautiful flower with those with and delicate petals.
The square frame is well adapted to the scene, it makes the composition equilibrated in the space.
Yves.

Hi Kari, There is something so delicate and vulnerable about blossoms. They are with us for such a short time and then one has to wait until next year to be treated to this gentle beauty. You have captured this transience very convincingly. The soft pinks really touch the heart. Regards. Klaudio.
