Famous nature place in Finland.Eastern Finland.By the Pielinen lake. 295m high from lake level and 437 meters from sealevel. On the top area is a hotel and a nature center "Lusto", where You can examine the history of the local nature and get to know, that in this same place have raised big mountains million years ago. Many ice-ages have crushed the stone and only the hardest stone is still in his place. Koli is a center of Carelianist painters (Gallen-Kallela) and writers (Juhani Aho).
Old sagas have got inspiration also to componist Sibelius works.
But Koli is also a sporting center:slalom and ski, fishing(also in winter) and rambling in summer. In winter You can drive by the iceroad over the lake and see a colourful sunsetting.
Last night was a thunderstorm and therefore the scenery is "after rainy weather"
