Photographer's Note
Well actually its a pond which I passed by on my way to work - I spotted this "duckweed" a month ago but all my shots have been "too green" and ordinary (I missed a boat or a duck :-) - but today I captured this "river" for the summer hunt.
Just in case - "The River" the title song from the 1980 Bruce springsteen album.

It does seems a river seen from above. What are those green things? Maybe too many plants. It is common in water that is not flowing.
A lot of green and a little black work well here; you even got shades of green. Good hunt.

Nice one Jeppe... I was just going to say, it looks like an ariel picture of a river! It's so nice that it looks like some sort of Abstract art thing... the streak of black in the middle leading the eye up to the top is just wonderful!
What exactly is it? From where I come from, I would say it's sweage waste!!!!!
Great stuff!

Graphism extreme! I like the way this really looks like a map of a river, very well seen and thumbs up for not giving up!
I really like this one.

There are a bit of satellite photo look to this, especially in the thumbnail. Seing the large version it is more obviously water and duckweed, cropping the lower fourth with the reflection of the sky would make it a little more abstact, personally I would prefere that. The study of textures smooth/grainy and colors are very delightful in itself.

That's just great and original, especially good the way you have the 'river' running across the diagonal.

Wow, you almost fooled me, Jeppe. You used the lack of scale in order to create the ilusion of a huge river. It's a great composition, very well done.

Very original indeed. I saw this weed around here too, but never bothered to photographed it. I didn't know that it would look that good and abstract. I didn't know what it was. Is it harmful for the fish (no light/no oxigen)? Nice capture!

Which is the trick? I can't say what it seems to me, but I hope it is another thing. A leaf yuo photographed with supermacro function? An icecream of pistachio melted on the asphalt? Casper? A Totti's spit? In any case I like the casual composition.

Photo très graphique et très colorée. Symbolique mais aussi purement représentative d'un phénomène naturel. Tout bon. Très bien vu, bravo Jeppe !

Great abstract feel that this shot has to it, Jeppe. And a fine diagonal from the narrow opening in between the green, although I would probably try a slightly different cropping at the bottom (like the one suggested by Torben) and at the top (have the opening exactly meet the corner). The colors and textures are genuinely delightful in this one. Very creative shot!

Astonishing picture Jeppe. Very well seen and excellent composition and crop. I would have put it to the Neat Image process to soften the surface but well, it's really only a personal taste. A very good one!

Nice Jeppe. I like the diagonal pattern that you used to divide the frame.
