Photographer's Note

Hello folks.

I’ll show some more photos from our one week long holiday in Denmark in the beginning of August this year. This photo is from a tourist boat that start its about one hour long tour from Nyhavn and goes along the harbour and through the Christianshavns canal. We had a great guide that spoak four different languages through the tour: english, german, spanish and danish. Not bad at all. Here she entertaines us with the song ♫ Wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen ♫ … hm, not really, but it sure looks like as if she was singing:-). As you can see we had a wonderful weather on this tour, but just about two hours earlier when we entered the Öresund bridge from Malmö in Sweden, there were these dark grey, almost black, clouds hanging thight over Copenhagen and washing the city clean till we got there!
The sail boats in the photo were all from the Netherlands (?) arriving Copenhagen together. (If it was for a certain reason, I don’t know).
In the WS1 there’s a closer(?) look at some of the sail boats that seemed a bit larger and older than the others. Behind the boats there is the new (2005) opera house. Constructions cost were well over 500 million US$! Will it pay off? Anyway, it’s a beautiful building!
The WS2 shows a view from the Christianshavns canal.
The link 'Wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen' takes you to Youtube and the singer who once performed and made this song an evergreen; Danny Kaye. The link to the 'opera house' takes you to Wikipedia.
