Den sorte diamant
The Black Diamond

Here's another picture of a modern building in the harbour of Copenhagen: Den sorte diamant (The black Diamond), the new extension of det Kongelige Bibliotek (Royal Library).

Den sorte diamant is located at the island Slotsholmen, not far from Christiansborg Slot (building of the Danish parliament) and opposite Christianshavn. This new extension was built in addition to the library builing built in 1906, the building was completed in 1999. It took four years to build the Diamond, that was designed by architect office Schmidt, Hammer & Lassen. The facade is made of black marble and glass.
The yellow boat is Havnebussen (Harbour Bus), a part of the public transport service in Copenhagen.

I took this picture in September. I cropped the photo a lot and also had to rotate a bit.
Hope you like it!
