Photographer's Note
This title chosen in memory of Georges Harrison and his great song from the Abbey Road album.
Please note this picture only resized – and colours were in fact even brighter then the pictures.
I use to take my camera with every day in car, when heading for work. How ever, this morning had I decided to leave it at home, due to a busy day. But when I opened the door and looked at the sky there was no doubt – I had to get the camera AT ONCE. I can’t remember ever seeing a sunrise like this, and I manage to get some nice shot – even some with a sun pillar (It’s the second time – I been so lucky)
This sunrise was the talk of the day for those who saw it and the local newspaper (released at 2 pm.) had a big photo on the front page (the headline of the day ;-)
Second note! I think the camera captured the scenery pretty much like it was - but the purple colour filled half of the sky and gave a brighter light and impression which impossible to catch.

With colors such as this it should be the talk of the month not just of the day, I'm glad you got your camera.
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right

I am so glad you brought your camera Jeppe. If you haden't you would be sorry for a very long time. I once saw a "Once in a liftime" sunrise and i didnt have may camera (I was on the morning train to Stockholm). I can still see this sunrise in my mind but i wish i could share it with more pepole. It was the most beautifull thing i have ever seen. Thank you for sharing your sun rise Jeppe. Those colours are extrodinary.

Très impressionnantes ces couleurs on a l'impression que le ciel est en feu et ces arbres au premier plan complète très bien la composition de l'image.

At the good place, the good moment, explosive colors with in more one good framing, well considering.

Great shot Jeppe. It seems that the sky is burning, or it is the trees ? In any case, the sunrise if a mystic moment, and to be present when the coulds try to stop the new sun, it's always a great event. Like your picture.
BRAVO.

Weell, maybe it's time to start getting up a bit earlier ;-)) The colours are brilliant and luminous, and the way the sun catches the treetops makes it look like a Danish bushfire.

Stunning capture, Jeppe. I can see why a sunrise like that would claim a front page spot in the papers. I have rarely seen a sky with so much texture, and the range of purple, orange and yellow tones is stupendous. Thanks for being there and sharing this moment with us.
Titled after my favorite George song from the Beatles era - besides "Something", which I notice would also make a fine title for a TE posting ;-)

I cannot remain silencieuce in front of such a sky. Colours are magnificent and it is the spectacle that only the nature can offer us. Very beautiful composition and good technique.

This is my favorite sunrise photograph ever. I have never seen anything like the colors that have been so richly captured here. The way you've captured the sun setting the treetops on fire is wonderful. And the spectacular contrast between the gold bursting out at the bottom building to the purple at the top is excellent. The framing is just right for this once-in-a-lifetime morning event. Very, very well done.

Senere gik det over i mere purpur farve.
Jeg har et billede eller 2, dem må du have til gode:-))
Ikke set en himmel før eller siden magen til i Danmark.
