Photographer's Note

Not far from this yellow house can you find the Manor Skjoldemose and its old smithy

The manor can be dated back to 1355 and have been in the possession of several families during the years. Until the modern tractor took over some 50 years ago, was the working-horse an important animal and hence there was need for new horseshoes and wheels for the wagons.

The smithy was placed close to road and at a little pond where the horses could drink as well.
I been told my grandfather worked as driver at the manor and I do believe he spend time at this place – while the horses was shoed.
