Photographer's Note

This is another photo of the Prague Castle District taken from the Eastern bank of the Vltava River. To left you have the Charles Bridge to the left and on top of the hill you have the Saint Vitus Cathedral, the two white twin towers of Saint George’s Basilica and closer to the bride the dome of the Church of Saint Nicholas.

Ulf, beautiful picture, very crisp. A little noise at the top, but really nice overall. If the water had been a little more still, the reflection would have been amazing!

Hello Ulf,
A classical view on Prague but a good one. Very beautiful colours. I like the POV with the statues of the bridge and the lamppost on the left.
It seems that April hasn't the crowds of tourists ... or perhaps it was very early in the morning.

Ulf,
This is a very nice shot of the city of Prague. The Charles bridge reminds me of the bridge in Wurzburg. The lighting and colors are nice here with excellent sharpness and detail. Your composition is fine with the placement of the bridge which leads the eye into the shot.

Hi Ulf,
I think all aspects of this picture are perfect, including the POV, colors, interesting subject and in particular the quality. The depth of focus is unbelievable, taking into account that the aperture was only f/4. Very good job!
Maybe the Sony camera has helped... I hope I too will be able to capture such great shots with my Sony DSC-W200 sometime in the future...

Hi Ulf,

There is a beautiful soft pink glow (I think of the falling evening). It gives a special effect to the “Golden city”.
The wrinkled reflection is a lovely extra in the composition.

The light is gorgeous putting a golden tone everywhere. By moving to the right of the bridge you have found a slightly different POV to the usual ones. It's also interesting to note the bridge tower at the Mala Strana end. It makes one more aware of the bend in the bridge, as it's quite a way to the right of where one would expect to see it.

Well made daylight version of this most known part of Prague Ulf. Nice closing of the compo with the use of the bridge to the left. Fine pp on the water surface to have the small ripples there - effectful.

a classical view of the Castle and Saint Vitus with the Karl's Bridge in the foreground, in warm and romantic late-afternoon lighting. I have seen many photos taken from the east bank but this one is definitely one of the best.
