Photographer's Note

The interior of the Saint Vitus Cathedral is fantastic. Among the most beautiful features are the stained-glass windows. A number of successful Czech artists were involved in the creation of those windows. Among them Alfons Mucha well known Czech Art Nouveau artist and Max Švabinský, one of the most remarkable and successful Czech artists in the early 20th century. He was also one of the few representatives of modern art that was accepted by the Czechoslovak communist regime. A nice biography on Max Švabinský and also some pictures of his paintings could be seen in the website of the international services of the Cezch Radio. See: This is one of the windows where Max Švabinský was involved. I have included a cropping of the full size picture for you see more the fantastic details of the window. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
