Photographer's Note

Gold Street (Zlatá Ulitcka in Czech) is a small street in the Hradcany Castle complex in Prague. The houses were originally built to house the king's alchemists, which may be where the street's name came from. Or it may be from the goldsmiths who lived there for a time. Franz Kafka also lived on this street. The houses are small, and each is painted a different color, making it altogether a charming street (charming enough that the city charges a fee for tourists to get in).
