Photographer's Note

The Old town hall of Prague which stands in the Old Square. No doubt there will be other images with full description so I will instead write a little about the memorial in the foreground. Jan Huss, was born in Bohemia (the old name for Czechoslovakia), in 1371. He became a priest who's views regarding Holy communion differed from those who held power in the church. He was tried, wrongly found guilty of heresy and burned at the stake in 1415. The followers of Jan Huss and his fellow martyr Jerome of Prague became known as the Czech Brethren and later as the Moravians. The Moravian Church survives to this day.
