New Town Hall

The Old Town Hall in Prague is probably better known, but this is the New Town Hall (or rather Town Hall of the New Town, Novoměstská radnice). Prague’s New Town (Nové Město) is only called new, because it is not as old as the Old Town (Staré Město), but it was founded in 1348 by Charles IV. The New Town Hall was the site was the site of one of the three defenestration of Prague in which people were thrown out of the window. The New Town Hall is located at Charles Square (Karlovo náměstí), the largest town square in medieval Europe.
