Photographer's Note

Zagreb is a very beautiful city, the center of the town is a place where u can enjoy for hours. I just love this town. The architecture is old, this granny is old too, so I wanted to give the overall old look.
This is the square, we were waiting for the tram to come.

Hi Gordana,

Haha, the overall old look. I like that. You managed well. I do like the diagonals of the tiles in it as well! The toning is nice, but the vignetting wasn't needed in the top to make it feel old - or maybe a bit less... But I like it!

Zdravo Gordana. Always a pleasure to look at your work, for it is not predictable. There is a combination of creativity, empathy, and universality in your photos. I love this B&W rendition with its slightly leaning figure, the dark shape of the body and her lit up face. The vignetting does not bother me, it adds to the mood and contributes towards your intentions of the overall old look. Budi zdrava i vesela. Klaudio.

I feel sorry for not being fully prepared to pay you back - 'eye for an eye' style, but - your picture is quite good and extremely charming...

Hi Gordana, this is a perfect composition. Black-and-white works great with this picture. There is good contrast between the lady in black clothes in the foreground and the white background.

Hello Gordana,
This is a very good photo. A photo that I like. Usually, when we have a person like that in the foreground, we often have the tendency to not really look at the background. But I find the background as interesting as the woman there. And somehow, they fit completely well together.
I am not a great fan of "colored B&W", but I must admit that it works for me here.
If I may just nitpick a little, I might have wish if you had cropped the half person on the right frame. And I wonder, did you still had some details in the clothes of the woman? It seems a little too pitch black.
But, except those little details, the photo itself IS really good, don't doubt it!
