Photographer's Note
Please view the TE Beta version, its Awesome TE STRUGGLE.
The TE struggle is real...hahaha, so true!
What struggle am I talking about? Which photo to post as the Main.
I seriously have a difficult time choosing between 3 photos, take a look in the WS and you can decide if I made the right or wrong decision.
I'm sure you've seen this famous church from Zagreb on TE before, it was fun to see it in person. When we arrived there was some sort of event going on with people dressed in 1800's attire. It was quite fun.

Bonjour, cher Craig,

Hello,
Nice postcard with the spectacular roof of the church and the couple dressed traditionally. A fine square scene, very artistic.

Hello Craig, I have seen this unusual roof also with my own eyes but it was a long time ago. All the pictures are nice, in all the roof is the main subject. Maybe most I like the one with the bike, but here the guy is so high, maybe basket player. Amusing fight on TE. I have a real battle every day. At the moment, my photos from Uzbekistan, hundreds of them, lost with Senegal (haha, like the Polish football team in World Cup).
Kind regards MAlgo

Hello Craig,
You had a battle similar to the ones I have every time I post! But as long as the photos are as good as this, who minds!
The roof of the church is a great attraction and probably quite unique! The open space at its front works well for photography, offering you many options of viewpoint.
I think my favourite is the one with the old penny farthing cycle, possibly because it is not posed and in this photograph, the lamppost acts as a better link.
Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Witaj Craig!
The church is peculiar, the roof is impressive, the tower is also beautiful.
People in the costume from the 1800s make an impression.
Good framing, colors and sharpness.
WS "Bike" is super!
Well done.
NIce day.

Hello Craig,
Everything looks genuinely old this photo, except that there were no digital cameras that could take perfect colour photos in the late 19th century. For a daguerreotype this is sensationally good. Most sensational is how you could find this large square without any other tourists.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Craig,
I like all of the images, but if I had to choose I would go for the landscape one with the larger group of people in it, which looks less 'posed' in my mind. In both cases I think I might have moved further to the left, but then I would have lost that rather elegant lamp, which makes a great frame. Pleasant lights and colours all round and very good sharpness.

Hello craig,
All three your pictures are very pleasant to look at.
Of course the roof is the real eye catcher on the nice picture with couple
But your picture is very well taken.
An excellent panorama view about the area.
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,
John

Hi Craig, you were lucky to be there having a meeting with these persons dressed in the old times way,the best special bonus to add at the view of the magnificent church of Zagreb with its impressive roof. I agree with you for the choice of the main pic,i like a lot the old bycicle in the WS too. Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

Bonjour Craig,
J'aime bien ton choix. Cette église est remarquable et l'effet de lentille nous en montre beaucoup au sujet de son environnement. J'ai l'impression que cet homme est très grand.
Amicalement

It was for sure an intersting event with old costumes and old bikes, it seems your photos were taken 200 years ago :)

Hello Craig,
I like this main photo the best. :-) The two 1800's characters are looking right at you, and there are no other people in the frame. It looks like you not only went to Zagreb, but were also able to travel back in time. If you gave this photo a sepia conversion and some noise, you could say that it was taken a century ago. Of course the church is pretty, too. :-)

Hello Craig,
Oh yeah, I can see what you mean. I really wouldn't know which photo to post either, all three are fantastic. In this one, the two people in their old attire are very well included in front of the lovely church, whose roof is gorgeous. I really like the low viewpoint too.

Hi Craig
A good Zagreb scene, especially in the large version - the wide angle lens has left everything very distorted but interestingly so.
cheers

Hi Craig,
The presence of the persons has an effect of scale. The point of view is showing the details of the building and of the church. The light is bringing out the colours. Have a nice day.

Hello Craig,
I do not know which criteria you use when choosing the main photo.
You can choose the photo that you like best or the photo which, you think, will yield the largest number of point (HAHAHA).
I also often doubt the order of the three photos of one post, but it usually depends, if possible, from the content of the story. And of course otherwise I also go for the points (again HAHAHA).
I clearly have a preference for altered Image # 1 here. In the other photo the strong perspective distortion disturbs me too much.
Excellent work
Have a nice Sunday, groet Rob

Hello Craig,
Saw the title and had a thought crossing my mind that you were about to leave... hope not.
Wonderful roof-tiles pattern and the addition of the couple with traditional costumes marvelously enliven the scene.
Real di9fficult to choose several pic.s of same subject - but the WS's were rightly chosen.
Have a nice new week,
Ike

Hi Craig

You are right, this is a really tough one, all three are perfectly "main-uploadable" photos. :-)
I like the penny farthing one because I love bikes but, on the other hand, I find the space and perspective in the main shot really appealing...

Hi Craig,
I have said it already: we are traveling not only in space but also in time, and here it is literally true :)
I thing I like the one with the stronger sunlight even though there is a lot of shadow there.
Yes I remember this particular roof, having seen it in guidebook but also in Luis (adramad) photos.
I didn't get there but this roof is so photogenic that I would go there just for this square!
Great reportage,
M

Hello Craig.
Three formidable photos, of this church so attractive, especially for its roof, very original the characters that you have captured in each of the images, the ones I like the most are those of that kind of bike, with a gigantic wheel.
The sharpness, the lighting, the color, and the magnificent composition; all of them are perfectly realized factors, in this beautiful image.
Well done. I like very much.
Have a nice day. My sincere greetings.
Luis.

Ciao Craig
Saluti

Hi dear friend craig
Beautiful facade. Great clarity and exposure. The presence of men and women in old clothes is interesting. Good text

I think you made the right choice although all three photos are interesting.
I like the composition here, with the chapel in the background and the classical building on the right, making a good frame for these two traditionally dressed guides. The man looks incredibly tall !
My eye is also attracted to the lovely, colored tile roof and the little blackbird flying past the chapel :-)
TFS and merry Christmas.

craig
the three versions of the place have a perfect quality and beauty. the roof of this church is curious, but I guess I saw something similar in austria. the couple is perfectly positioned here and added a strange touch of past to the compo.
take care and happy 2019
